CLINICAL FOCUS
Who she works with and why
Kallie specializes in working with women who are exhausted from earning their worth through perfectionism, people-pleasing, burnout, and the slow loss of self that happens when you spend years being everything to everyone. Her work is grounded in the belief that the patterns that burn women out were never character flaws. They were strategies. Ways of staying safe, staying loved, staying enough. And they can change, not through pressure or willpower, but through understanding what’s underneath them.
She also brings a Daring Way™ framework into her work, which means shame resilience isn’t a side topic. It’s often the whole conversation. The inner critic, the fear of not being enough, the shrinking that happens when you believe your worth is conditional; that’s the work. And she does it with warmth, directness, and a deep respect for how hard it is to finally tell the truth about how you’re really doing.
HOW SHE WORKS
What therapy with Kallie actually feels like
Warm. Direct. Unhurried. She won’t hand you a worksheet and send you on your way. She’ll slow things down, get curious with you, and help you understand yourself in a way that actually changes things, not just in sessions, but in your life.
Originally from Colorado and now based in Houston, Texas, she brings humor and humanity into the room alongside the clinical rigor. Healing doesn’t have to be heavy. It just has to be honest.
BIO SECTION
About Kallie
Kallie Allen is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor with a background rooted in education and school-based mental health. She holds a master’s of education in School Counseling and Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of St. Thomas, and is a Daring Way™ Trained Facilitator, meaning her work is grounded in Brené Brown’s research on vulnerability, shame resilience, and what it actually takes to live wholeheartedly.
She spent over two decades working in educational settings, founded and led a nationally recognized student wellness program, and received the Texas CREST Award for excellence in school counseling. That background matters because it shaped how she sees people. She understands the pressure to perform, the weight of being relied on, and what it costs to hold everything together for everyone else.
Kallie loves spending her time outdoors with her spirited young son. She brings warmth, creativity, and humor into her work, and believes that healing happens best in spaces where we feel seen, safe, and free to tell the truth.
