Therapy for Adult Third Culture Kids & Globally Mobile Individuals
Support for those who grew up between cultures and are navigating identity, belonging, and life transitions as adults.
DOES THIS SOUND FAMILIAR?
You feel deeply global, but not fully rooted anywhere.
That’s me!
Growing up across cultures can shape you in powerful ways, but it can also leave you feeling untethered as an adult. You might struggle with belonging, identity, or feeling understood, especially during transitions that stir questions about home, stability, and who you are becoming.
What is an Adult Third Culture Kid?
An Adult Third Culture Kid (TCK) is someone who grew up in cultures different from their parents’ or passport country, often due to international living or frequent moves. As adults, TCKs may feel adaptable and globally minded, yet struggle with rootedness, identity clarity, and finding a sense of home.
• navigating identity and belonging
• feeling between worlds
• longing for stability and connection
• holding grief for places and people left behind
How therapy can support you
Highly mobile, multicultural lives can surface important mental health themes that are often misunderstood or overlooked. Therapy offers space to name and explore these experiences within a context that honors their global complexity rather than minimizing it.
Therapy provides a grounded space to slow down, reflect, and make sense of your story. Together, we explore identity, values, relationships, and transitions in ways that honor both your lived experience and your inner world.
Explore identity and belonging
Understand how your early experiences shaped who you are today.
Process transitions and loss
Name grief, change, and adaptation with compassion.
Build steadiness and connection
Cultivate rootedness and meaning that feels authentic to you.

Our approach to working with Adult TCKs
At JDF Collective, therapy for Adult TCKs and globally mobile individuals is relational, culturally attuned, and paced with care. We honor the layered experiences of living between cultures and support clients in integrating their global identity with a sense of grounding and self-trust.
